milk + chilli

Here's a lesson to you all. Milk + beer + food + chilli + stupidity = bad.

I have no idea where or how, but some people believe that drinking milk gets rid of the spiciness of chilli. That's pretty stupid if you ask me. Drinking milk with chilli and other food in your stomach is more likely to cause an unpleasant reaction. One guy ate a bunch of chillies as a dare... with a stomach fool of noodles and beer. He couldn't take the spiciness and chugged down 1.5L of milk. He shortly collapsed and vomitted A LOT of half digested food. It was gross.

Expect to see it on the internet. His mates took videos of him eating the chilli and vomitting using their mobile phones. I would have taken a photo of the aftermath, but I had to get mops n buckets n stuff for his girlfriend, who I must say is a very good person as she and her friends were the ones who were cleaning up the mess- his mates all ran off.

A few weeks back, there was a really bad customer. She ordered a beef basil, and specified no chilli and no pepper. The dish itself had no chilli and no pepper, except the sauce had something that had a bit of kick. I would hardly call it kick- I tried some today to see from her point of view. I would say that beef basil is not spicey at all. If there was anything you could call spicy, it was less than tobasco, and I find tobasco to be not that spicy and it has no staying power (drink water and its gone). And this bloody lady wanted a refund after eating the entire dish and complaining for 20 minutes that the spiciness of the dish prevented her from enjoying it. For fucks sake, if you can't take that little bit of spice (IT'S NOT SPICE) you shouldn't even be eating food.

(BTW I generally avoid curry and spicy food as much as I possibly can. If I got no choice or the choices other than it is poor, then I eat it)

Damn [insert colour] people and their chilli.

The dark side of the force

Anybody remember this quote?
"Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering."
You probably won't be that surprised how true that quote is. And you probably would be weirded out by the fact that I could incorporate it into conversations.

I'll just bold the relevant bits.

• §?lly ? [f: the dark side has COOKIES (edit: where can I learn these abilities?)
Jello: not from a lit teacher (edit: not from a jedi)
Jello: a word of advice, if you ever believe what you write sucks, but
a teacher or academic says that what you have written has some good
points, or that you are capable, believe what they say

So what I said was not exactly the same as what Yoda said, but at least it's close.

Basically, when you suck at something you hate it. It does not help when others do not give you a morale boost, but kill it, as it makes you hate it more, or get angrier. Then you cycle through Yoda's saying and you end up with a horribly nasty dark result. Hate is bad.

AARGH I forgot what else I was going to write. I had so many cool ideas running in my head during lectures. I probably was running through job interview scenarios. I shall not fail again.
